EXPERIENCED PART-TIME COORDINATOR required for local non-profit society. You will be responsible for all routine administrative operations including managing senior peer counselling program under direction of the Board of Directors and work with an office clerk. You will coordinate recruitment, screening, selection, orientation, supervision and co-training of peer counsellors. You will be responsible for client intake, case assessment and ongoing review, matching counsellors with clients, & maintain a good relationship with referral agencies including health care and social service agencies. As a coordinator, you will maintain a computerized and manual records management system by collating and analyzing statistics and preparing monthly reports for the Board of directors. You will need strong organizational, leadership, and administrative skills. You will work with the Board to procure funding for the organization.
The successful candidate should have experience working with volunteers, or in helping professions such as the social service or healthcare field. You will be directly responsible to the Board of Directors. Completion of the senior peer counselling course is expected.
A Criminal record check is mandatory.
The probationary period will determine performance level and wage adjustment.
